Leader or Follower?

Often we are tempted to move ahead of God. It’s simply part of our “old self” (Eph 4:22) creeping in and telling us we can do it on our own. So we tell God, “I’ll take it from here!” Any time we act without following God’s leadership we risk failure. God, however, never fails. He can’t fail! He won’t fail! So why risk it?

It takes discipline to seek the Lord in every situation. The Bible is our instruction book and guide. In a deafening world of endless chaos God’s word is there in Black and white to give us clear insight into His will. Worshiping should never be done in our own strength or according to our own preference. Worship is our response to God and should be done according to His word.

Let Him lead you to worship Him. He wants to be your worship leader. Romans says “His Kindness leads us to repentance.” and 1 John writes “We love because He first loved us.” It’s my prayer that you will seek the Lord all day every day. And as you do you will get to know Him and understand Him more and more.
