Today's full reading: Philippians 1:1-26
"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God." (Philippians 1:6, 9-11 NIV)
I receive great strength from the confidence that Paul and Timothy had in the Lord who they earnestly believed would finish the good work that he started. On days that I feel so defeated it is this truth that lifts me up and reminds me that the Lord is not finished with me and has not abandoned me.
Today, as an act of worship, praise our faithful heavenly father for not giving up on us. Commit your way to the Lord and walk in it today.
