Today's full reading: Hebrews 7:18-28
"Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself." (Hebrews 7:26-27 NIV)
Jesus Christ was and is our perfect high priest. He lives forever and lives to intercede for us. He is the only perfect mediator between God and man.
Today, as an act of worship, thank God for sending his son to earth to become the perfect high priest by offering himself as an atoning sacrifice for our sin. Praise him for that sacrifice.
