Spur One Another On

Tuesday's full reading: Hebrews 10:18-39

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:23-25 NIV)

Each day I am reminded more and more of the deep need in my life for Christian fellowship and discipleship. I crave authentic community that is far more than knowing facts about a person's life; it is living life together, carrying one another's burdens.

Today, as an act of worship, praise God for placing other believers in your life. Thank him for the blessing of technologies that allow us to encourage one another even when we are miles apart. Pray for a friend by name today.
