The Wedding of the Lamb Has Come

Today's full reading: Revelation 19

"Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: 'Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.' (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.)" (Revelation 19:6-8 NIV)

Let the wedding celebration begin!! The preparations have all been made. The clothes have been prepared; the sacrifices have all been made to assure that this day is like none other. Jesus paid an incomprehensible price on the cross to make it possible for the bride, His Church, to be presented to Himself on this day as a pure, holy, wholesome companion.

Are you ready for the wedding?

Today, as an act of worship, remember the sacrifice Jesus made for the stain of our sins to be completely wiped away; let it usher you into a true posture of thanksgiving, worship, and praise. Also, remember the examples that other passionate Christ followers have given us; may their righteous deeds spur us on to be radically and faithfully committed to Jesus Christ.
