Exodus 28:1-43 ~ Matthew 25:31-26:13 ~ Psalm 31:9-18 ~ Proverbs 8:12-13
Psalm 31:9-18 paints a painful picture to imagine, yet it is a bitter reality that many people face and one in which no one is totally immune. The words that really strike me are the words of faith that the worshiper expresses in the midst of his distress.
14 But I trust in you, O LORD;Today, as an act of worship, have faith in God; believe He cares for you and has your best interests in mind. There is nothing greater than for your life to bring Him glory. Praise Him even in the valley.
I say, "You are my God."
15 My times are in your hands;
deliver me from my enemies
and from those who pursue me.
16 Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love.
Psalm 31:14-16 (NIV)
