Tell of His Righteousness (Psalm 35 - Part 2 of 2)

Today's full One Year Bible readings:
Leviticus 1:1-3:17 ~ Mark 1:29-2:12 ~ Psalm 35:17-28 ~ Proverbs 9:13-18

Psalm 35:17-28 strikes me as an intercessory worship song or prayer in which the worshiper cries out for God's justice to prevail in rescuing him from those who are "enemies without cause" (verse 19). I am particularly impressed by the resolve of the worshiper to commit to praise God and speak of His righteousness in the midst of such circumstances.

27 May those who delight in my vindication
shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say, "The LORD be exalted,
who delights in the well-being of his servant."

28 My tongue will speak of your righteousness
and of your praises all day long.

Psalm 35:27-28

Today, as an act of worship, come before the LORD seeking His will to be done. Tell of His righteousness and praises all day long.

(Remember, today marks a pivotal point in our One Year Bible readings; I highly encourage you to read yesterday's post if you are trekking through the Bible this year.)
