Today's full One Year Bible reading:
Leviticus 27:14-Numbers 1:54 ~ Mark 11:1-26 ~ Psalm 46:1-11 ~ Proverbs 10:23
Psalm 46 puts into words the powerful reminder that God is our "ever-present" help, refuge, and strength! He goes with us - even through the most painful and gut-wrenching circumstances imaginable. The psalmist put it this way...
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Psalm 46:1-3,10-11
Today, as an act of worship, be still before the LORD, and trust Him. God is near - closer than you may realize, and more present than you perceive.
"The LORD Almighty is with us." (vs. 11)
