"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." (John 13:14-15)
The most encouraging thing about following Jesus is that he left us an amazing example. A popular phase for the last 112 years is "What Would Jesus Do?" This phase was popularized in the now famous novel written by Charles Sheldon in 1896 called In His Steps. Its amazing how relevant the book still is today. In His Steps is in the public domain and can be read in its entirety online by clicking here. If you've never read it let me encourage you to do so. Today let's seek to follow Jesus' example in everything we say and do. His example teaches us to love, serve, and give sacrificially. It also challenges us to live in complete obedience to the Father's will for our lives. May we begin each day in the Word. And then ask the question as we make decisions throughout the day, "What would Jesus Do!"
