Die to Sins!

Monday's full reading: 1 Peter 2:11-3:7

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." (1 Peter 2:24-25)

Today, as an act of worship, say goodbye to your old self. Much like the song "So Long Self" by the band Mercy Me, remind yourself of the truth found in these verses that we must die to sins and live for righteousness. Praise God for bearing our sins in His body on the cross.
