Slow To Learn

Today's full reading: Hebrews 5:1-13

"In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness." (Hebrews 5:12-13 NIV)

This biblical rebuke was specifically for those whom the writer of Hebrews had been teaching about following Christ, yet were abnormally slow to learn. The same rebuke also comes to us if we are in fact slow to learn and obey the teachings of Christ.

Today, as an act of worship, demonstrate your growth journey in Christ by obeying his word - being a child of God, doing the things you know to do, hiding the Word of Christ in your heart, and teaching others to walk in his truth.
