The LORD Be Exalted (Psalm 40 - Part 2 of 2)

Today's full One Year Bible readings:
Leviticus 15:1-16:28 ~ Mark 7:1-23 ~ Psalm 40:11-17 ~ Proverbs 10:13-14

Today we will focus on the concluding verses of Psalm 40 where the psalmist writes, "But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, 'The LORD be exalted!' " (40:16)

I can honestly say that these words have resonated with me in a profound way. However, I did not realize it at the time God gave me this verse that He was planning to use it in my life in such a critical way.

On that afternoon in June of 2003 He gave me a simple melody that goes with this verse. Since that time I have used it often in personal devotions with the LORD. One day I may get around to sharing it with others, but until then suffice it to say, "Psalm 40:16 will always be special to me."

When you find yourself surrounded by enemies rejoice and be glad. Love His salvation, and exalt His holy name!

Today, as an act of worship, proclaim, "The LORD be Exalted!" (Meditate on verse 16 today!)
