This God He Is Our God - Tommy Walker (Psalm 48)

Today's full One Year Bible readings:
Numbers 4:1-5:31 ~ Mark 12:18-37 ~ Psalm 48:1-14 ~ Proverbs 10:26

Psalm 48 speaks of God enthroned in His holy city on His holy mountain. During this special time before Jesus Christ came to earth, God chose to reveal Himself through and in behalf of His special people, the children of Israel. It was in the temple, His sanctuary, that His people drew closest to Him.

9 Within your temple, O God,
we meditate on your unfailing love.

10 Like your name, O God,
your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;
your right hand is filled with righteousness.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever;
he will be our guide even to the end.

Psalm 48:9-10, 14

Today, as an act of worship, reflect on the many ways God chooses to reveal Himself in our day - through Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the Holy Spirit. Thank Him for offering us such sweet assurance.

Verse 14 reminds me of this great worship song from Tommy Walker, "This God He Is Our God".
