The purpose of worshiping God daily is to grow in Him. We should be walking more closely to God today than we did yesterday. One of the ways we grow in our faith is through reading His word, The Bible, but another way we grow in Him is by nurturing godly relationships with other believers.
Relationships are very important to God. He wants us to encourage one another in the faith everyday. (Hebrews 10:25) However, He also warns us about counterfeit Christians by saying, "Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart. You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit.” (Matthew 7:15-16)
The way you can tell if a person is the read deal is by examining their character. No one is perfect, but Christians should be full of integrity, purity, and humility. Our lives should reflect the presence and power of God.
If a person claims to be a Christian, but is not bearing fruit for the kingdom then they are most likely one of three things either lost, a baby Christian who has not started growing in Christ, or a Christian who bore fruit at one time, but quit because of sin. Either way, beware of these individuals! “You’ll recognize them by their fruit.” (Matthew 7:20)

Food for thought and comment: What type of fruit do you look for in another believer? How can a new Christian begin to bear fruit for the kingdom?
