Today's full reading: Ephesians 4:1-16
"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:1-3 NIV)
Our lives are meant to honor the Lord in all things. One of the reasons I so appreciate Paul's letters is because they are in many ways straight forward and to the point. There is much practical insight that is given such as: be humble and gentle, be patient, bear with one another. I find these things easy to read yet often they are difficult to apply.
Today, as an act of worship, thank God for his Word. Ask him for help in applying it to your life. Make every effort to live in peace and unity with other believers.
